Analog implementation of MOS-translinear Morlet Wavelets
The design of a low-voltage current-mode Morlet Wavelet, using MOS transistors in weak inversion, is presented. The proposed design is based on two translinear building blocks: a normalized gaussian-function generator and a four-quadrant analog-multiplier. Simulation results using BSIM3.v3 model for a 0.6μm AMS process parameters, in a CADENCE environment, are presented.
متن کاملAnalog Soft-Pattern-Matching Classifier using Floating-Gate MOS Technology
A flexible analog pattern-matching classifier has been developed and its performance is demonstrated in conjunction with a robust image representation algorithm called projected principal-edge distribution (PPED). In the circuit, the functional form of matching is made tunable in terms of the peak position, the peak height and the sharpness of the similarity evaluation by employing the floating...
متن کاملTranslinear Circuits Using Subthreshold Floating-Gate MOS Transistors
We describe a family of current-mode circuits with multiple inputs and multiple outputs whose output currents are products and/or quotients of powers of the input currents. These circuits are made up of multiple-input oating-gate MOS (FGMOS) transistors operating in the subthreshold regime. The powers are set by capacitor ratios; hence, they can be quite accurate. We analyze the general family ...
متن کاملIdentifying translinear loops in the circuit topology
This paper presents a topological method for identifying multiple static translinear loops using a graphical representation. It is found that the translinear principle has a new formulation based on graph theory concepts and it is applied to circuits containing BJTs and MOS transistors. In addition, it is introduced the concept of translinear circ for representing a translinear loop. The types ...
متن کاملDynamic Charge Restoration of Floating Gate Subthreshold MOS Translinear Circuits
We extend a class of analog CMOS circuits that can be used to perform many analog computational tasks. The circuits utilize MOSFET’s in their subthreshold region as well as capacitors and switches to produce the computations. We show a few basic currentmode building blocks that perform squaring, square root, and multiplication/division which should be sufficient to gain understanding of how to ...
